AGA MONTHLY MEETING

Happy Holidays! Once again, a joint December meeting of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) will be held on Monday, December 15th. AGA’s Community Service Program has two speakers from local community organizations scheduled to speak. During lunch, we will collect money donations and unused, unwrapped toys – preferably for children between 10 and 15 years old – for both charitable organizations.

· 1 - Sister Jeanne from Stanford Settlement will send a representative to speak about their programs, including Operation Cratchit, which is a program that provides holiday meals to families and toys for their children.
· 2 - Liana Luna from Mustard Seed School will be there to tell us about their school for homeless children. They are asking for donations of sweat suits, stocking stuffers, and toiletries.

Mini-Seminar:
As in the past, we will hold a 2 hour Mini-Seminar from 1:00 – 2:45 for an additional $10 fee, which will be donated to the attending charities. Bob Meyer with the Internal Revenue Service will be presenting the latest changes to the tax law that affects businesses as well as individuals. Attendees can claim 2 hours CPE credit.
